Learn how to root your Nexus device here!
Have you ever thought about having the full power of your Nexus device? Well, you arrived at the indicated post. Being root allows us the ability to edit, manage and customize our device at will, but of course reaching that level is dangerous, and in some cases many refuse to try. Well I was looking for something that would work ... And surprise! I found the best application to run the root on our Nexus device without any complications, and very easy.
The Nexus Root Toolkit works great, is one of the best applications to play your phone deeper. And it has good security, and a simple interface to avoid wrong steps (I made in my past).
With its simple interface, and the steps well explained, we will not have problems when performing the tutorial successfully.
The first step is of course to have a Nexus device already The mythical Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and even Nexus 6 itself, a Windows PC, and a USB cable to MICROUSB (Its cable to connect it to the PC ).
The Nexus Root Toolkit is available on the following page: Nexus Root Toolkit v2.0.4(32MB)
When we have installed the program, we just need to connect our smartphone, and open the program.
"Remember to choose the brand of your device, and the version that is running, in my case was" Galaxy Nexus Verizon, and Android version JD039. "
Now we have everything configured on the PC, the next step is to activate USB Debugging on our device, something very simple. Go to Settings; Phone Information; Touch the Compilation Number 5 times. After that we will have the Active Developer Options. Now we just need to activate the ADB, go to Settings; Developer options; And they activate "USB Debugging".
Just need to open the Bootloader of our system to perform the Root with more success, for this we connect the mobile to the computer, and we will open a small tab on our mobile saying that allows access to the ADB, we accept that action. Then, already open Nexus Root Toolkit, and click on "Unlock Bootloader". VERY IMPORTANT this erases all the content of our device. In the process the mobile will suddenly turn off, and turn on several times, is TOTALLY NORMAL.
Congratulations we have the first step to become root!
Now let's go to the computer, when the device is connected to the PC, go to the Nexus Root Toolkit, and click where it says: "Root", and they will start the rooting process of the Smartphone, of course it will turn off several times, but it is TOTALLY NORMAL, do not be scared. The process generally lasts about 10 minutes.
Note: "If we look closely under the Root button there is an option, and it is to install a recovery mode, this is already optional if we want to touch with Roms and Kernerls."
With all these steps, we will have our device ready to install a ROM that we want, if you have any questions or comments, I invite you to comment below.
